Our Mission

Mission Cohort is a grassroots movement of young students and young professionals, started by God Himself to assist His church to finish the work. Mission cohort was formed in 2012 and formalized in January 2013.

The group has thus been involved in missions which are aimed at planting churches in un-entered areas by the Adventist Message which is the main aim of the existence of the group.

Our Experience

Since its inception, the group has been successful in carrying out evangelistic campaigns in the Free State and Mpumalanga. In carrying out these evangelistic campaigns the group has been working with the concerned conferences and churches to make possible the church planting vision in areas that have not heard about the Adventist Message. In doing so the group has dedicated its time focusing on two specific areas in the Free State (Arlington and Edenville) to make sure that there are churches planted.

The journey in the areas has not been easy, having challenges of Bible workers staying for longer on the sites and mother churches not being able to visit the converts as frequent as they should or desire. Furthermore, the group has had financial challenges to maintain the Bible Workers as it depends on donations and monthly contributions by members of the group. However the hand of God has been evident and has shown and still shows that the work engaged in indeed is driven by God Himself. The Lord has been faithful through His faithful servants that have heeded the call when the group requested assistance to maintain Bible workers on the mission field.

Driven by the firm belief that “it is not a sacrifice [but] only a privilege” to be a part of God’s service, a radiant group of young people were united by their shared desire “to preach the Good news where the name of Christ has never been heard” (Rom. 15:20).

With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world! How soon might the end come—the end of suffering and sorrow and sin!- Education, p.271

Ngubeni, S

God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers.

Hebrews 6:10

I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me
